Council’s Arts Team is looking to partner with OK Motels to deliver OK Kenilworth in 2025, a one day experience celebrating the local Kenilworth community, encouraging visitation and bringing art and music to the hinterland. Fostering exchange between regional communities and metro audiences, OK Motels deeply engages with community to co-create a day of diverse music, live performance, art installations and family friendly activities. This collaborative community arts project taps into the charm of Kenilworth and what makes it special, amplifies it, and invites everyone off the beaten track and into town to experience it all for themselves. OK Motels will also bring high quality nationally recognised live music acts to Kenilworth, benefiting local audiences and building the profile of the region as a cultural tourism destination. Sunshine Coast Hinterland. 18km,30km, 48km. Australia' toughest team endurance event. The Kokoda Challenge is provided by the Kokoda Youth Foundation, a registered charity and non-profit organisation. Held on Gubbi Gubbi Country, the Sunshine Coast Kokoda Challenge kicks off at the quaint country town of Kenilworth where teams set off into the Imbil State Forest to climb rugged mountains and wade through rivers. Not far from this very forest, in the Blackall Ranges, is where many of our Diggers were trained in jungle warfare before being deployed overseas to fight for our country, many of them never returning. Whether it's the 18km, 30km, or 48km distance your team chooses to tackle, you'll need the four pillars of the Kokoda Spirit to get you all to the finish line: courage, endurance, mateship, and sacrifice. These are the values that our Kokoda Veterans displayed while defending our country along the Kokoda Track in 1942 and are the values that you'll need to push yourself and your teammates to keep going on your adventure despite the hills, the heat, and the hardship that you'll face while on the Kokoda Challenge course. Whether you're a hiker or a trail runner, this Sunshine Coast hiking event might be one of the most difficult physical and mental feats you'll ever face. But the feeling of crossing the finish line after pushing yourself far beyond your perceived limits is indescribable. Every step is worth it, knowing that your journey is also supporting local kids in our community and honouring our Aussie heroes.

The Kenilworth ArtFest 2025 is an art exhibition and competition that showcases local and regional artists held at the Kenilworth Showgrounds from 23rd to 25th May 2025. It is a much-anticipated event on the Sunshine Coast calendar. • Friday 23rd May 2025 - Gala Opening and presentation night at the Kenilworth Hall beginning at 5.30pm. • Saturday 24th May 2025- the Exhibition opens at the Kenilworth Hall 9am to 4pm. $5 Entry • Sunday 25th May 2025- the Exhibition opens at the Kenilworth Hall 9am-2pm. $5 Entry • The Children's Art and Poetry Exhibition is displayed in the Supper Room of Hall, Sat 24th and Sunday 25th May 2025 • Sunday 25th May 2025 - A Free Family Fun Day in conjunction with Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce is being held in the Kenilworth Showgrounds from 9am. FAMILY FUN DAY In conjunction with the Kenilworth Artsfest 2025 Exhibition, the Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce is having a Free Family Fun Day at the Kenilworth Showgrounds starting at 9am. Creative Stalls, such as Bush Critter Craft by Tracy Lewis, Kite flying and decorating, face painting and educational stalls. Chris Collin internationally acclaimed author will perform his stories. Music, food and laughter!!

The Kenilworth Quilt and Craft Circle hosts the annual Quilt and Craft Show at the Kenilworth Community Hall on Elizabeth Street. Wheelchair access available. Locally made quilts and crafts are displayed. There are merchant stalls with many items to purchase and locally crafted woodwork . Bring some friends to share morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. 9am to 4pm. Low Admission cost to be advised.

A non competitive off-road trailbike ride through private land, State Forest and National Park in Kenilworth with all funds going back into Kenilworth Community Organisations. Open, Novice & Peewee Tracks. Proudly sponsored by KTM Australia. See website for further details.

This annual festive night has lots of family fun to be enjoyed. Free admission. A carefully selected range of free rides to suit all ages and mega multi prize draw raffles (generously donated from local businesses). Relax, bring your picnic blankets, chairs, a drink for the adults, kick back and enjoy the free entertainment. Food sales available. Fun starts at 4pm in the Kenilworth Showgrounds with Santa set to arrive at 6pm. Santa's special gifts for children on the night can be pre-sourced from any "SANTA SHOPS HERE" locations throughout Kenilworth township. Laser show and fireworks start at 8pm.
